Focus of Risk Management:

While a major focus of this directive includes the management of statutorily mandated insurance coverage, and, when appropriate the retention of new coverages and protections, identification, assessment, and employment of other contractually transferable risks of loss is given careful consideration. Loss/exposure tracking, training, and prevention are a few other methods also to be used to implement the overall risk management process.

As the Risk Management Division is charged with designing and implementing a risk management plan, using the Risk Management Process is the means we employ, on a daily basis to achieve, not only full physical asset protection against Cuyahoga County-owned properties, but a heightened awareness of risk management practices and procedures to be embraced organization-wide.
